It was noted that £15,000 had been placed by Treasury on the Supplementary Estimates for 1876 to carry out the completion of the Tank Stream work. It notes that the City Engineer believes that the present sewer down Forbes Street is so badly designed and constructed that it would be a waste of money to do anything to it.
