He also includes a report by the Board Engineer stating that the Sewerage Department will pay the bill but requesting that the City Surveyor advises their office in future as liability needs to be established. City Surveyor responds that he will undertake to board a dangerous hole immediately, will ascertain who is responsible and inform them without delay, including the fact that the coast of the boarding will be charged to their account.
