(Note: For Mr Seymour's report: HJD;12/1/91. Received: RS;13/1/91. With reference to Mr Brown's letter I have the honor to report that he was summoned for a privy nuisance on his premises. Subsequently the premises were reinspected where I found same to be clean and the closet removed. Upon the representation also of one of the alderman that every thing had been done to prevent any further cause for complaint I promised to withdraw the summons but owing to my late illness, the promise was forgotten, the result was the defendant was fined. I would therefore under the circumstance respectfully suggest that the fine be remitted. Fine to be remitted;22/1/91. City Treasurer instructed. It appears that this fine has not been paid: HJD.
