Annotation "For City Surveyor's report" Report attached dated 2nd March advising Council already has a contract in place ending 31/12/1892 therefore does not advise accepting offer even though 10% cheaper. But as the Councils requirements are 2000 tons per month and the contract stipulates 1000 the other 1000 ton could be purchased from the Railways at 8 shillings per ton.
