Lt Colonel MacKenzie, Assistant Adjutant General, Head Quarters, Sydney to the Town Clerk enclosing a minute from the Military Medical Authorities complaining about sanitary conditions and asking the Inspector of Nuisances with the Principal Medical Officer of Victoria Barracks to investigate. Note Inspector Seymour personally instructed to see to this matter. Attached Minute dated 9/01/1893 refers to Paddington Council dumping rubbish on ground to the rear of the barracks gate which may cause an outbreak of sickness among the soldiers. Report of Inspector of Nuisances to Town Clerk that the land adjacent to Moore Park is vested in trustees but he has instructed the ganger in Surry Hills to inspect the site daily and remove any rubbish.
