Reginald Bloxsome, Secretary, Metropolitan Board of Water Supply and Sewerage, Sydney to Town Clerk enclosing letter received from Town Clerk and Minutes from the Superintending Engineer and Engineer for Sewerage in relation to the complaint regarding the condition of footway in Devonshire Street after work by the Board. The reports explain the subsidence was not due to faulty work but due to spoil stacked on water charged sand. Response from Clerk of Works to City Surveyor advising Council should have been requested to repair road before it was opened to traffic as the condition was dangerous.
