(Note: For City Surveyors report: HJD; 26/5/93). This is a letter from Messrs Tate and Lawler and dated 25th May ultimo repudiating claim made on account of removal of tarpaving footway of Druitt Street at site of new markets. Messrs Tate and Lawler's representative Mr Cowdery called upon me about 1st April last requesting that the kerb be turned down and tar paving removed from the footway of Druitt Street at new markets site, stating that the works applied for were urgently required and asking that costs in connection therewith be rendered his firm for payment. In these circumstances I would advise that Messrs Tate and Lawler be informed accordingly and requested to at once settle: RWR; 5/6/93.
