(Note: With reference to Mr Perrys letter re No 68 Washington Street upon inspection I find that the drainage is in a very insanitary condition the soil from the W.C. discharges into the drainpit the stench trap of which is too small consequently there is an escape of sewer gas and matter. The surroundings of the drain are such that the kitchen slops lodge on the ground instead of flowing into the pit and augment the offensive odour above referred to.
