He requested Council consider giving him some compensation for the money lost due to the basin being so late in filling. The City Surveyor obtained a report from the Belmore Park Depot which stated that council workers did what was required and the hitch obviously occurred at the Natatorium and therefore Council was under no obligation to supply compensation.
