With reference to the desired Saturday half holiday for the blocksweepers, he reports that previous to last March they worked on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm and on other days from 8am to 5pm, but in consequence of complaints having been made by some Alderman and shopkeepers, about the dust on Saturday afternoons, an alteration was made in times to a later 9am start to make up for working Saturday afternoon.
