Unique IDAS-1128DateBetween 31st December 1943 and 20th August 1949Date qualifiercircaFormatVolume - HardcoverDescriptionThis series contained in one volume recorded notifications of infectious disease as required under the Public Health Act 1896, Pt III Regulations. The register listed patients residing in the Redern LGA at the time of the notification. The majority of notifications were made by registered medical practitioners at hospitals including RAHC, Prince Henry and Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, as required under the Part III, regulation 16 of the Act, gazetted June 15, 1899. The registers contained the following information set out in the Schedule B format: date of report; date of receipt of report; name of legally qualified medical practitioner notifying; patient's name; sex; age; disease; ward of municipality; address of premises at which patient or deceased person is. Other details recorded were: milk supply; school; residence at date of attack; health inspector visited and served notices (date); if a separate night soil service was provided; premises disinfected; any special matter requiring attention.

Diseases notified included Diphtheria, Scaret Fever, Typhus, Poliomyelitis and Meningitis.

The registers for the years prior to 1943 appear to have been destroyed.
