Over the corner entrance is an electric lamp and the proprietors name, Nicholas Kauth and Company. Various signs advertise the business as a hairdresser, tobacconist and stationer. A sign on the entrance advertises Little Dorrit playing at the Lyceum, and part of the premises appears sub let to J Kimble, Bootmaker. Number 42, which is on the corner with Day Lane, to the left is empty.
