Adjacent commercial buildings have ornate facades, arched and buttressed windows and street awnings. Various businesses have advertising signs, C Clark, Diamond Setter, and Tysos, Hatter and Mercer at 134 with decorative parapet in which is set the date, 1894. Busy pedestrian traffic, mainly businessmen are seen in the street and a large crowd gathered on the corner outside Lawes Hotel at 136-138, which is the corner with Kings Street.
