Recapitulation of actions and recommendations during the year and a report on the situation and extent of property within 150 yards of a Corporation Lamp and so liable to be rated for a lighting rate. Plans were prepared by the City Surveyor for all wards showing property liable to be rated and property exempted with names and situations of the latter (mostly publicans). City Treasurer supplied a schedule ot the total annual value of the properties liable to the lighting rate. Committee has transmitted to the Finance Committee an estimate for the year 1847 and recommends a rate of ½d in the pound for the remainder of 1846. Appended are the City Surveyor's letter and report and the letter from the Treasurer.
