Appended: Memo from Lord noting that he will have had 30 years service in the Council on 18 November; his only absences in that time have been a fortnight during Mr Wilshire's Mayoralty when he was called away by the sudden death of his brother-in-law, Mr de Mestre, three weeks holiday during the term of the Commissioners and a month at Melbourne because of sickness in 1866.
