The Committee considered the report of George Durham on the state of the City Accounts and the report of the late City Treasurer, Edward Lord, and made the following recommendations: that Durham's recommendations with certain exceptions be adopted and that Durham and Lord be engaged together to arrange the positions of the officers now employed and avoid the necessity of employing additional officers. Appended: Printed report by Durham containing his recommendations for changes and a full and detailed examination of the Paymaster's Department; Printed progress report by Durham with recommendations and analysis of the Treasurer's Department; Printed Report by Lord with reference to Durham's recommendations; Printed report by Alex Campbell, at sea aboard SS Geelong, after his examination of the City Treasurer's books with George King in 1867; Printed report by George King on his examination of the books; Draft of motion in terms of the Committee's recommendations.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
