Appended: Letter from Palmer & Thompson, Stock and Share Brokers, 113 Pitt St, on behalf of Frazer, offering the land at a value of £3,500; Letter from Palmer & Thompson withdrawing Frazer's offer and stating intention to build on the land; Letter from Palmer & Thompson in reply to Council's offer of £1500 stating that Frazer would accept £2,500 and pointing out that he had already given up one third of his land for no remuneration; Letter from Hardie & Gorman, Land & Estate Agents, with valuation of the land - £2,500 if the strip could be sold in the ordinary way but £4,000 as a fair sum including compensation for the effect of reducing the area of the allotment; Letter from Richardson & Wrench, 142 Pitt St, giving £860 as market value; Letter from Palmer & Thompson noting loss of usefulness of the remaining portion of the land after surrender of the strip.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
