Appended: Letter from Gannon & Sons, Federal Chambers, cnr King & Pitt Sts, seeking compensation for Rossich, 560 George St, and Mr Seach, both injured when thrown out of Rossich's cart when his horse fell after having a shovelful of sand thrown over his head by a Council worker; Memo from GC Waldron, City Solicitor, on settlement of claim; Memo from R Seymour Junior, Inspector of Hoardings etc, with full report on accident and injuries to Fred Rossich, 45 Bathurst St, and B Saz, Oyster & Fish Shop, 14 Market Street, with statements made by James Hayes (spreading sand) & Walter Harrison (driving Mrs Flannigan's cart); accident was witnessed by G G Vodanovich, 801 George St South and Julius Aggrati, employed at W Buttel & Co, Butchers, Pitt St, whose statement was made in company with George Wheldon; Memo by Richd W Richards, City Surveyor; Memos by GC Waldron, City Solicitor, initially advising no admission of liability but later recommending settlement of claim.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
