Wilson & Pitt had claimed for the supply of 11 lanterns and lighting. Committee recommended Wilson & Pitt keep the lanterns and be offered compensation. Appended: Letter from Wilson & Pitt, Galvanized Iron Workers, Kerosene and Paraffin Oil and Lamp Importers, 599 Brickfield Hill for payment for lamps and lighting, noting that although no contract had been signed they had received promises from the City Engineer and several Aldermen, they appealed to a sense of justness and fairness and offered to settle for a lesser amount and possession of the lamps.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
