Henry Wager, in the absence of Mr John Hill, informing the Council that Mr Hill's property on Riley Street has sustained considerable damage by late floods and that the lower part of a lane leading to the the rear of "Hill's Terrace" has been washed away and about ten feet of a new culvert and part of a stone wall destroyed. He submits that the necessary repairs should be made at the expense of the Corporation. Edward Bell, City Engineer, reports that such damage can only be obviated by the construction of main drains of the proper size at a cost of £3150.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
