Council Clerk, Paddington Council, requesting reconsideration by the Improvements Committee of Paddington Council's previous request for cooperation in the repairs and formation of Dowling Street. He draws the Council's attention to Govt Gazette No. 77 of 17th April 1860 which states that the Boundary of Paddington Municipality is now the Western building line of Dowling Street, joining the City Boundary but that the Boundary is in the centre of said street. The City Engineer is instructed to report. He cites the Sydney Corporation Act of 1857 which details the boundaries and therefore maintains that Dowling Street from South Head Road downward to Cleveland Street is entirely outside the City.
