When built assessed by City Valuator at £450 p.a., not excessive for an hotel with entrances to Pit and Gallery of the Prince of Wales Theatre, which when it burnt to the ground also severely damaged my premises. Landlord (due to losses of accommodation rooms and business trade) reduced rent to £260 p.a (£5 pw). As no valuator assessed since damages, request rate reduction to a fair and reasonable amount.
