In a recent inspection of Dennison Ward, inhabitants drew my attention to unclean condition of lower end of Baker's Lane, no guttering wither side, refuse water and house slops from houses, and from those in Bathurst St adjoining, becomes stagnant, a perpetual nuisance. This part of City thickly populated with artisans and labourers, with large families, needs sanitay improvement as soon as possible. Notes:1. Imp Comm; 2.Eng report; 3.Endorse this letter, and reported same on 17 Jan last, approved by Council, and awaiting the means to effect; 4.
