City Surveyor to the Town Clerk reporting on an attendance at the Select Committee of the Legislative Assembly regarding the proposal by Mr William Kenwood of Sydney to construct a high level bridge over Port Jackson between the City of Sydney and the Borough of North Sydney. Section 15 City Solicitor's comments submitted that compensation for land should include improvements thereon. Also included was proposal to run a tramway which he advised Council would likely oppose. He suggested amendments to Clauses 4, 5, 19, 20, 24, 28, 59 and 69 to give greater responsibility to the Municipal Council for oversight and decision making.
