In connection with the George St Electric Tramway, the portion of George St between Hunter & Circular Quay is worn down, and great difficulty to piece up the new blocking for the tramline with the old work. Minister suggests renewal of old woodblocking under Council control. Notes: JRP: City Surv. RWR: concentration of traffic on repaved area, my report on section between Bathurst & No2 Police station, that alteration of levels necessary at probable cost of £1563, and should be borne by Govt, contracts already let for relaying, which was delayed pending construction of tramroad.
