The Victorian awning has been removed and is being replaced by a steel cantilevered awning. A water cart is on the footpath and men are standing on the corner. Ladders are leaning against the wall in York Street beside the business of Sack and De Jabet who were shipping providores. Part of a sequence of photographs taken to record alterations to the building in 1917-1919.
