Work is in progress on covering the opening with a glass ceiling and on placing the new wrought iron parapet around the floor opening. On the left is shop number 111 and brick walls at the lower centre are separating the shops on the ground floor. Part of a sequence of photographs taken to record alterations to the building in 1917-1919.
