Along the footpath, where the new cantilevered awning is almost completed, are pedestrians on George Street and behind the wooden paling fence are galleries sectioned off for commercial premises. On the left is a sign for Kitchen and Bingham. On the right is the ANA Sewing Machine shop, Rowley Sewing machine shop and a newsagent selling portraits, magazines, newspapers, dolls and Christmas and New Year cards. Tram tracks in the foreground and a motor bike standing at the kerb.
