Mary Ann and Thomas Quinn owned the buildings at 224 and 226 Cleveland Street, which were vacant when this photograph was taken in around 1912. The building next door at 222 Cleveland Street was a grocery store owned and run by Jane G Duffy, who was possibly Mary Ann Quinn’s sister. The rear of the factory of F P H Schroeder, cigar merchant, can be seen to the right (the street address was 139.5 Regent Street).
