Appended: Draft of the Report - Sewerage: main sewers have not needed repair; details of additions including Darling St, Goulburn St, Elizabeth St; additional 1121 houses connected making a total of 5410 houses connected to mains; - Water: Engines and machinery have worked continuously; breaks in mains found in Albion Street repaired; in April the Tunnel from the Lachlan Swamp became choked by silt under the rifle range and was cleared and it continued its function as an auxiliary to the Botany supply; details given of quantity of water pumped, supply has been 'abundant and continuous'; supply contracts all fulfilled; 4 miles of water mains laid; in May the City Engineer presented a report on the supply for Sydney and Council has been seeking powers from the Parliament to raise the necessary funds to implement its recommendations; - Financial: Statements of receipts and Expenditure on Sewerage and Water Funds presented.
