Appended: Report by the Mayor on the tenancy by Kethel of the Market Wharf and damage done to the northernmost shed recommending claim for compensation from Kethel; Letter from Richard Cooke, North Coast Steam Navigation Co, requesting permission to remove one shed from the property leased from A Kethel, absent from the colony - Kethel's son, holding Power of Attorney, has indicated willingness to remove all the sheds erected by Mr John See subject to Council permission; Memo from G C Waldron, City Solicitor, on terms of lease regarding buildings erected and sub-leasing; Memo re Market Wharf Lease including details of permission for sub-lettings to John Booth of Balmain and John See; Letter from Alexander Kethel re his sub-lease to John See which was further sub-let to the NCSN Company and that Company's removal of water meters, fittings etc; Memo from R Seymour Junior, City Surveyor's Office, reporting on Kethel's letter regarding removals of items; Memo from G C Waldron, City Solicitor, on legal aspects of removal of meters, fittings etc and probable right of Kethel to take action against NCSN Company; Further letters by Kethel and memos by Seymour, Waldron and RH Brodrick for City Architect.
