Appended: Memo from RH Brodrick, City Building Surveyor, noting that repair would amount to replacement of all the plates; the battery has been additionally used at times for lighting the Reception rooms, the Arc Lamp under the porte cochere, the vestibule and basement when the large plant has not been working; the current battery is a Crompton Howell type of 110 cells and is obsolete; recommending replacement by a modern type battery with 55 11-plate cells; further technical details of costs and mode of operation.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
