Unique IDA-00440990SeriesReports of the Improvement Committee [Municipal Council of Sydney]DateBetween 19th March 1873 and 1st August 1876FormatVolume - Leather BoundDescriptionReport of the Improvement Committee recommending the forming and ballasting and kerbing and guttering of the east side of West St between Barcom St and Burton St. Appended: Letter from ED Nicolle complaining of the filthy state of the lane behind St Vincent's Hospital caused by the accumulation of sewage from closets; Letter from MT O'Brien, St Vincent's Hospital, stating that drainage works are needed in West St; annotation by Thomas H Bradridge, City Surveyor, with estimate for work in West St; Memo from R Seymour, Inspector of Nuisances, stating that summonses were issued to Mr French which resulted in fines and repairs but that inspection shows that pipes have been re-laid; he will instigate a new prosecution; Mr Coveney, the Trustee of St Vincent's Hospital, has also been fined previously and a new summons will be issued; West St is in a disgraceful state needing forming and guttering.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
