Appended: Memo from Chas H Woolcott, Town Clerk, with Council resolution to refer the petition to the Committee with annotation by Edward Bell, City Engineer, confirming the poor state of the lanes; Petition from householders in Crown Lane at the rear of Crown and Riley Sts, (location of Crown Lane described as having southern entrance at the lane leading from Crown St into Riley St at the rear of William St), complaining of state of lane and complaining also of Stanley Lane at the rear of Stanley St lacking drainage so that water from it falls into Crown Lane; petitioners state there are 25 householders in Crown Lane: [signatories]: [left column]: Dan Mackdonald; Thos Naughton; John Dwyer; Martin Molony; John Cagney; Edward Connole; [right column]: Patrick Ward; Robert Paton, 89 Crown St; Fredk Kosten; H?
