To ensure security against alienation of the Outer Domain, Hyde Park, Public Gardens, Water Reserve and land on each side of the Tunnel, these areas may be vested in Official Trustees (Colonial Secretary, Colonial Treasurer, City Mayor) under an Act of the Local Legislature or by an Order from Her Majesty prohibiting their sale; 2. Until the Plan of the Town Hall is decided, the Old Burial Ground may be considered a far greater area than is required for its site; 3. As a portion of land at Soldier's Point has already been granted for the deposit of stones required for street paving, the whole of the area at present enclosed by fence may now be granted; 4. Since all Public Bodies have now adopted the Contract work system, and the Soldier's Point area is now to be enlarged, a Lumber Yard should not be required. LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
