(Note: 23/1/65 Mr Bell for report: JW. Search has been made for several weeks past to discover the cause of the water not ascending some of the houses as usual formerly. After sending down the inspector and turncocks repeatedly without any favourable results or report as to the cause I spent an evening myself in inspecting the neighbourhood and found in that evening six very serious leaks - the remedy of which led to the discovery of five more leaks, which when stopped cause the water to flow as well as before: EB; 8/2/65) LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
