(Note: I would advise the Newtown MC to adopt the same plan as the Woollahra Council has followed viz to avail themselves of the services of a pipe layer resident in the district, who as well as being familiar with all the pipes fire plugs etc. would be competent to effect small repairs in cases of pipes bursting. One of our men - Will Hurst - lives in the vicinity and is in every way fit for the work.
