(Note: Elizabeth Street, south of L'pool Street, and Pitt St, from Gipps Street to Devonshire Street, are those where (indirectly chiefly, through the obstruction of the centre of the roadway during the process of constructing the tramways) the gutters and kerb-stones were greatly worn by the undue traffic. That part of Pitt Street in front of Benevolent Asylum has been replaced by the Council with Blue Stone, & will require no further attention.
