(Note: 8/3/86 refer to Mr Jones for report: JY. Nuisance from Gully Shafts Every effort is made to keep these gully shafts free from smell - But it will be necessary (to do so thoroughly) to have assistance as, at present, Mr Goldie has only one man to attend to turn on water to all the City gullies that are water-trapped, now amounting to about 430: ACM: 13/3/86) Also included is a memo dated 15/3/86 signed by George Goldie requesting a second assistant as the number of gullys requiring water is now 454. (Note: It is absolutely necessary that some assistance should be given for this work.
