(Note: 14/9/88 City Surveyor and City Solicitor: JH. 17/9/88 Ack. Electrical Tramway. This is a letter from Mr George Proudfoot dated 11th September requesting permission to lay Tramway (Electrical) in Erskine Street. This is in my opinion a matter entirely for the judgment of the Muncipal Council. It will be necessary to consider however if it is desirable for an Electric Tramway to be laid along the public ways of the City. When determined it must be agreed upon what terms conditions, etc., etc. the Tramway is allowed to be constructed & maintained.
