Transmit copy of letter from Mr Kayser with detail of disinfection of public WC's and urinals by his late father whose sudden death a few months ago, since which he has carried out the work. J R Kayser, 6 Loftus St to Insp Seymour, long time ago, best recall: 1876 my father appointed at £2/2/0 pw, allowed 10/- pw for disinfectant. About 12m after appointment, increase of 1/- a day more. At about same time, a complaint that George St markets not clean and he undertook to do, or see if done every evening ready for disinfecting in the morning. At present we pay a man to do them. First time we did the Exhibition was July 1880 at 5/- pw and from May 1885 7/6 pw. On average in summer, use 30/- worth of disinfectant for the City Council work.
