We call attention to case of Mrs Weedon, owner of a vacant allotment with 22ft frontage on Castlereagh St, called upon to pay £32/6/8 rate arrears for several years. No notice and more than land is worth, at present assessed at £90 per foot, and she cannot get £50 a foot for it. Hope to reduce arrears to ½. Notes: AS: worthy of consideration, new valuation is only £50 per foot, propose acceptance of 3 years arrears, £19/8/-. SL: approved.
