Report on failed milk prosecution under the Adulterated Foods Act before Stipeniary Magistrate Smithers. Insp of Dairies, Mr Baker prosecuted Stephen J Shanley, dairyman of Camden, who shipped milk to Redfern station for Farmer's and Dairyman's Milk Coy. Tested and found to have 11% added water. The Bench dismissed the application as purchaser (at own evidence) was not prejudiced. Taken to Supreme Court at plaintiff's request and lost with costs against the Appellant. Costs of £16 as taxed.
