Edward Hordern & Sons, 668, 670 Brickfield Hill, Sydney to The Mayor complaining of the complaining about the recurrence of a nuisance fixed by the previous Mayor regarding the depositing of horse dung and human waste matter near his house in Richard Street off George Street. [This is the same nuisance complained of in 26/286/999]. Report from Inspector of Nuisances (complaint also made by Messrs Joseph Miller & Sons) that on inspection he did find horse dung from Messrs McClelland & Roach's Stables dumped near and has instructed them to keep on their premises and empty regularly. In regard to the human waste it is not lodgers at Mr George Lewis's Boardinghouse which has proper sanitary accommodation but the general public who can access the passage from George Street.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
