Unique IDA-01205452SeriesLetters Sent, 1842-1900Date17th January 1848Date qualifierexactFormatVolume - Letterpress CopybookDescriptionAdvising the following Water Committee resolutions at the meeting 8th January; that the Surveyor be authorised to make the additions to the back of the water carts; at the meeting of 16th January that the Surveyor be instructed to remove the water fountains at the corner to Pitt Street and Park Street to the corner of Park Street and Castlereagh Street; the Surveyor to report on laying 9 inch pipes in Pitt Street from Liverpool Street to Campbell Street and Kent Street to the French Consul's, Millers Point; that the Surveyor lay an additional 9 inch pipe on the eastern side of George Street; also water may be laid to the premises of Messrs Mcleod and Toning in Castlereagh Street; that the premises of Mr Chisholm be supplied with water at the rate of 3 pounds fifteen shillings; and the Club House at the rate of 15 pounds; that a report be prepared for the Water Committee regarding the Special Contracts mentioned in the report of December 1847 in relation to the consumption of each establishment, the size of the pipes, the number of hours supply required and any other matters relating; that the Surveyor be authorised to procure books for the registration of agreements for water and plumbers; 8 boat loads of firewood and 5 cwt of old lead.
