That the whole of the City be lit by either gas or oil; 2. That each ward where a lamp is erected shall be liable for a Lighting Rate; 3. That the Council agree to pay the Gas Company 5 pounds 5 shillings per light per annum for 200 lamps for 3 years. 99 additional lamps to be placed according to the Lighting Committee report and 76 additional oil lamps until gas is available; 4. The Committee to call for tenders for the 76 lamps and lamp posts. 5. The Committee to report where oil lamps should be placed in Cook and Phillip Wards in areas not previously provided for and not included in the list submitted to the Gas Company.
