Morfoot Bros Building is in the background in Parker Street. Trees on the left are in Belmore Park and across the top of them can be seen the gasometer tank supports opposite Belmore Park between Pitt and Parker Streets in the Australian Gas Light Company yard. Opened in 1869 and named the Belmore Markets after the then Governor of the colony. Chinese gardeners brought cartloads of vegetables to this market daily.
