Appended: Draft of the Report - Water: uninterrupted supply achieved, breakages repaired, effects of the drought (drop in levels in Reservoirs, suspension for a few weeks of street watering and shut off supply during the night), High Level Reservoir at Paddington completed, contract entered into for the construction of 3 dams between the Lachlan Swamp and Botany with work now proceeding, cleaning out of Upper Mill Reservoir at Botany, passing of the Sydney Corporation Powers Extension Act has allowed Council to recover water rates from every building on streets where mains are laid, satisfactory performance of contractors to supply coal, castings and general stores, quantities of piping laid and old mains replaced; - Sewerage: Works at Woolloomooloo Bay, William St, Cleveland Paddocks, Tank Stream, quantities of stoneware pipe drains laid, examination of all main sewers constructed since 1854 and details of defects found and repairs made; - Financial: statements furnished.
