Referred to By Law Committee. Petitioner cites several grounds for requesting this action eg: a) in 1840 he was the first person to start public conveyances in the City; b) he has been compelled to relinquish his business as an omnibus proprietor due to persecution and acts of harshness by Mr Richard Stubbs; c) since 1856 he has paid £600 for summonses, fines, attorneys and witness expenses; d) several allegations he made against Richard Stubbs were fully proved at several investigations, since lapsed. Petition numbered 63/32. [Attached is a written Response from Richard Stubbs.] NOTE: Town Clerk's memo in relation to petition originally filed between 63/27 and 63/34.
