(Note: 29/4/75 referred to City Surveyor. On receipt of this letter I visited the locality referred to and found that the storm waters had overflowed the gutters of Park Rd and, as the footpath was not made up, passed on to and damaged Mr Duncan's property. To prevent a recurrence of which I took immediate steps to fill in the footway. Subsequently Mr Duncan called upon me and stated that he is willing to withdraw his claim for compensation if the Corporation will replace so much of the wall and filling as was washed away.
